A collection of photographic prints used as a resource in the compilation and editing of Mason's The Texas Ranger, published in 1967. The prints include formal and informal portraits by various photographers, lithographs of the Mexican-American War, 1846-1848, by various lithographers, including Kelloggs, Thayer, Currier, Ives, Sarony, Major, and L. Baillie. Some photographic prints are reproductions from the University of Oklahoma Library, Division of Manuscripts, Rose Photographic Collection. Some have captions affixed to the verso. Some prints are reproductions from the U.S. Army.
